Janice also has over 20 years of experience in marketing, writing, and research. In addition, she has several years of experience working with advertising agencies to supply and interpret advertising expenditure measurement, which provided the launching pad for their present and future marketing strategies.
As a journalist, Janice has been able to build a comprehensive skill set of finding the story, examining the facts, and delving into background research, as well as deciding what possible future direction the story could take. She has experience interviewing police, politicians, and people under extraordinary circumstances with unique stories to tell.
Writing and interviewing skills have also extended to advertising copy written for campaigns both online and within hard copy marketing materials. Just as much research has gone into creating copy and marketing materials, including finding engaging images that elevate the copy and generate interest.
Janice has worked for Rogers in several capacities including copywriter, on-air news, and as a journalist, and was the recipient of the Rogers Scholarship. She has also spent many years with a client base of the most influential advertising agencies at Nielsen Media Research.
In addition, she has published research in the “Canadian Emergency News” magazine related to “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”.
Janice has an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, an Honors certificate in web design, as well as three college diplomas related to broadcast journalism, advertising, and marketing. She believes in constantly expanding horizons and updating skills. This has led to extensive continuing education in the world of marketing, social media, web analytics, and web design.
